The 2nd edition of the Africa for Peace Sports Festival has been scheduled to officially kick off on November 15, 2025, in commemoration of the International Day for Tolerance.

The festival, an initiative of Ambassador (Dr.) Mulade Sheriff, aims to promote peace, unity, and youth empowerment through sports across Africa.

This year’s edition promises to be thrilling, with a ₦10 million prize pool and a lineup of exciting competitions, including gym contests, Scrabble, snooker, table tennis, and mini football.

Chess and foosball will feature as demonstration games, offering participants additional opportunities to showcase their skills and win prizes.

Former Super Eagles star, Edema Fuludu, has been appointed Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) by Ambassador Mulade.

In his acceptance remarks, Fuludu expressed gratitude for the appointment and pledged to work closely with the organizing team to deliver a successful event.

The mini football competition will feature two categories, Under 25–45 and 46 years and above, with strict adherence to the game’s official rules.

According to Ambassador Mulade, who also chairs the Delta State Mini Football Association, the festival will provide a platform for the Nigeria Mini Football Association scouting team to discover and recruit promising talents for national and international competitions.
