Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has declared that the people of Delta North, popularly known as Anioma, are fully committed to supporting Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s re-election bid in 2027.
The lawmaker gave the assurance on Sunday during a crucial stakeholders’ meeting of the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), held at Government House, Asaba.
Speaking to a cheering audience of political leaders and party faithful, Senator Nwoko affirmed that Delta North remains united in its resolve to back Governor Oborevwori for a second term in office.
According to him, the governor has earned the trust and goodwill of the people through his equitable leadership style and the effective implementation of his M.O.R.E. Agenda, which focuses on infrastructure development and human capital empowerment across the state.
“Delta North Senatorial District will give Governor Sheriff Oborevwori 100 percent support,” Nwoko stated.
“He has the total backing of our politicians and our people ahead of 2027. Delta North is for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.”
The senator also expressed the district’s commitment to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and his re-election bid, noting that both leaders share a common vision of growth, renewal, and inclusive governance.
“We are equally committed to President Tinubu’s administration and his re-election in 2027. In Delta North, we stand united for the progress and success of the APC at both state and federal levels,” he added.
Senator Nwoko further described immediate past Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, as the “National Leader” of the party among the stakeholders, acknowledging his pivotal role in shaping the political direction of the state.
The meeting was well attended by top political figures, including Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, former Governor Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, State APC Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, as well as serving and former members of the National Assembly and other prominent party stalwarts across Delta State.
