Vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Speaker of the Nigerian Senate, Ahmed Lawan and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu were among presidential aspirants that were screened by the Chief John Oyegun-led Committee.
Others who scaled through the screening on Friday evening are the former Transportation Minister, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, incumbent governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, his Ekiti State counterpart, Kayode Fayemi.
Also, cleared is Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, former Minister of State for Education who resigned on April 28th 2022, former minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ogbonnaya Onu, former governor of Ogun State, Ibekunle Amosun, incumbent governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, Badaru Abubakar, former minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio and
Mr Tein Jack-Rich.
Meanwhile, those not shortlisted, Tunde Bakare, former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, his Cross River State counterpart, Ben Ayade, Sani Yerima, Ken Nnamani.
Others are Ikeobasi Mokelu, Demeji Bankole, Felix Nicholas, Uju Ken-Ohanenye and Borroffice.
