Former Deputy Senate President (DSP), Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has applauded the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) for picking the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, as Vice Presidential running mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the party come 2023.
Senator Ekweremadu, who granted an interview with Might Touch Blog, insisted that Okowa, is the best haven distinguished himself as a parliamentarian, a patriot and a Pan-Nigerian.
Hear him: “I am excited with the choice of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as our Vice-Presidential candidate. It means that PDP will win. There is no better choice at the circumstance than Senator Okowa.
“He has distinguished himself as a performing governor, as a parliamentarian he was very quintessential, he made friends across the country, so he is very dynamic, he is a patriot and a Pan-Nigerian.
“He is the best choice the PDP could ever make in choosing the running mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
“He is going to bring a lot of value to that ticket because he is somebody who has all the compliments and all the qualifications of who will be a good Vice Presidential running mate.
“I am happy with this choice, other people would have fit the bill but am sure he is best for the job”, he added.
