An employer of labour and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of the popular 1 Side Entertainment, Mr. Sandy Acha Memeh, has described the death of the Delta state Governor’s father, Pa. Arthur Okorie Okowa, as “A monumental loss of a mentor”.

Memeh, in a chat with newsmen in Asaba, the state capital, said the legacies of the patriarch of the Okowa family, which include moral rectitude, hard work and forthrightness, among others, have in no small way translated in the giant developmental strides of the state under the leadership of his eldest son, Dr. lfeanyi Okowa.

“He was a great man, he has impacted more lives. I remember he taught my wife at Olona Technical College, he is a mentor and he has been able to produce someone like Senator Arthur Okowa, a fantastic human being, we will miss him so much, the whole Delta state will miss him, he was a father indeed, may his soul rest in peace”, he said.

The renown entrepreneur and employer of labour stressed that the departed octogenarian was indeed a good man who through high standard of discipline, was able to mentor his children into formidable personalities that have brought respect and honour to their father.

Hear him: “On behalf of the management and staff of 1 Side Entertainment, l commiserate with His Excellency the Executive Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the people of Owa kingdom, and indeed, Deltans, on the transition to eternal glory, of our father, the teacher,s teacher, Pa. Arthur Okorie Okowa, at the top age of 88. He was a great mentor and bridge builder, whose legacies will continue to inspire those he left behind.

“It is obvious from the quality and character of the children he left behind, that indeed he was a father who instilled the Biblical tenets of discipline, forebearance and hardwork, on his entire family. Our dear workaholic and God fearing Governor is a Sterling example of how a child should be brought up.

“I pray that God will grant the entire Okowa family, the Owa people and indeed those whose lives were touched by him, the fortitude to bear this loss of an icon. But they should be consoled with his exemplary life of service and uprightness”, he said.
