Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief Patrick Ukah, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Senior Special Assistant (SSA), Political, to the State Governor, Chief Martin Okakwu, who died recently.
Addressing the wife of the deceased, Mrs. Yemi Okakwu, and other members of the family, the SSG said that the state government and the entire members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the state are with them in their present state of grief.
Chief Ukah stated that the demise of the late politician is not just a loss to the family, but to Oshimili North Local Government and the entire state.
He encouraged the family, especially his wife, to be strong and take solace in the fact that he lived a life worthy of emulation.
The SSG prayed God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and urged them to remember that God is with them at this moment of their grief.
Highlight of the visit was the signing of the condolence register by the SSG.
Late Chief Okakwu, the Akachie 1 of Ebu Kingdom, died on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the age of 64.
He was a one-time Chairman of PDP in Oshimili North Local Government Area and a serving Senior Special Assistant to the Governor before his sudden demise.
