While commemorating the International Labour Day, she unveiled the recently completed Zonal Intervention Projects she influenced at Federal Medical Centre Asaba.

According to the DG, the twin projects which were near completion before she left office as the Honourable Member Representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, at the Federal House of Representatives, are now completed and fully utilized by the management of the hospital.

She said: “the two projects as shown in the attached pictures include, a three-storey building with 40 apartments, all en-suite, to serve as staff quarters for resident doctors and other health workers at the hospital and a two storey building designed to serve as Modern Amenity Ward in the hospital.

“By the grace of God, I was also able to equip the hospital with a modern X-ray machine. The first project addresses the challenge of accommodation for resident doctors and other healthcare workers at the hospital.

“It is important that we continue to prioritize healthcare delivery as one of the critical sectors of our growing economy” she added.
