In a video circulating on the social media, he narrated how his primary school headteacher and lecturer at the University of Nigeria, Nnsuka, first rejected him on the ground that he could not walk when his father, now late, took him for his basic education enrollment and when he got admission into the University.
According to him, the headteacher insisted that he would be admitted only on the condition that he could walk while the lecturer scorned him to go sit at the University gate to beg.
He disclosed that he became physically challenged at the age of three years.
Hear him: “Before I came to this school as a student, I was physically challenged at the age of three and between the ages of three and 10, I was a begger in my village, everybody knew me.
“I was crawling on the floor for seven good years. I would hang something on my neck and I would go to the market place to beg, that was what I was doing for seven years and this seven years all my age mates were already in school.
“I was despised, I was nobody until one day I decided to go to school and when I went to school, the headmaster make a mockery of me and said to my Father, why did you bring this one here? What did he come here to do?
“He said to my father that I can’t be a student. So, take him back home, he can’t be a student.
The physically challenged man who walks with the help of a stick while motivating a congregation-like setting said: “If you want to maximize who you are in life, you don’t tell stories of what has happened to you. You tell stories of what would I do to get out of what has happened to me.
“Young people listen to me, on the journey to success, you are going to fall several times
The above scripture continued: “the LORD had done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes”.
