The Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency (DSCTDA) has commended Trend FM 100.9 for its decade-long commitment to excellence in broadcasting and public service, reaffirming its own dedication to promoting environmental sustainability through strategic partnerships.
As part of activities marking the radio station’s 10th anniversary, the agency collaborated with Trend FM to organize a public sensitization campaign under the Secure, Clean, and Green Delta State Capital Territory initiative, an effort aimed at fostering environmental responsibility, hygiene, and sustainable practices among residents of the state capital.
Speaking during the event, the Director-General of DSCTDA, Hon. Patrick Ukah, praised Trend FM for its professionalism, consistency, and service to the community over the past ten years.
He described the collaboration as a clear reflection of the agency’s strategy to engage the private sector and community-based organizations in advancing the objectives of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda.
“I extend heartfelt congratulations to Trend FM 100.9 on its 10th anniversary. Your unwavering dedication to informing, educating, and engaging the public is deeply appreciated.
“We are proud to partner with you in promoting environmental awareness and responsible citizenship across the capital territory,” Ukah stated.
He further encouraged institutions, businesses, and individuals to support government efforts to build a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable environment.
“Together, we can create the kind of city we all desire, one that is secure, clean, green, and livable for everyone,” he added.
Over the past decade, Trend FM 100.9, headquartered in Asaba, has emerged as one of Delta State’s most reputable radio stations, known for its balanced reportage, innovative content, and strong commitment to community development.
Officials of both DSCTDA and Trend FM emphasized that the collaboration demonstrates the pivotal role of the media in promoting environmental consciousness and supporting government-led initiatives toward a cleaner and greener Delta State Capital Territory.
