For the people of Ughelli South State Constituency, to continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy, they have been called upon to join hands to attract more development.
The call was made Wednesday 1st July 2020, by the member representing Ughelli South State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), Hon. Barr. Izeze R.Y. Reuben, in his hearfelt wishes to the good people of Ughelli South State Constituency and Deltans in general in his New Month message.
The House member conveyed his New Month message through his Media Office, appealed to the people to give him more support in order to take the Constituency to greater heights.
“On governance, we want to use this medium once again to thank the good people of our Constituency for their prayers and support since the beginning of the “bottom up approach” of our representation.
“They are the best and when you have the best, there is no limit to what you can achieve.
“Whatever we have achieved thus far were made possible because of their unflinching support and we still need that support going forward.
“The priority as usual is to continue to work towards the development and progress of our dear Constituency and we assure you all that the pace of robust legislation will not slow down, we will rather hasten it.
“Governance is a serious business and when we say “business” we don’t mean the profit aspect of it but the service delivery aspect which is in line with the yearning and aspirations of our great people.
“This therefore behoves us to close ranks and collectively do those things that will take our Constituency to its zenith and shun those things that will take us backward.
He advocated for intercession for those infected with the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic, stressing that God is the ultimate healer.
“We must not also forget to pray for our brothers and sisters that are in isolation centers in the State and across the Nation on account of the Coronavirus pandemic.
“Let’s continue to remember them in prayers because there is no alternative to God’s divine healing.
He stressed the need for the continuous use of face masks, adhering strictly to other preventive measures put in place to contain the spread of the epidemic.
“Let’s continue to make use of our face masks and wash our hands regularly with water and soap, while maintaining social distancing.
Comrade Izeze who is fondly called the “senior lawmaker of the masses” by Deltans on account of his voraciousness and people-based contributions on the floor of the House, greeted his Constituents and Deltans as part of his consistent monthly messages.
Hear him: “First and foremost, we thank God Almighty for the dawn of the new month and we seek his protection and guidance throughout the month going forward.
“Once again, we wish all Ughelli South people and the entirety of Delta State people the very best of the new month of July,” Comrade Izeze noted.
