Oluwagbemileke Joy Jegede, was born into the family Pastor and Mrs. Olusola and Olubunmi Jegede, on Sunday, March 1st 1998.
She passed the National Primary School Exams at age nine, sat for and passed the Basic Education School Exams (BECE) when she was 12 years old.
Barr. Damaris Amaka Onuoha, a brilliant lawyer who posted Joy Jegede’s outstanding academic prowess, disclosed that she (Joy Jegede), sat and passed her West Africa School Certificate Examination with outstanding result at 14 years.
She proceeded to two different Universities also at the age of 14 and graduated with 1st Division in Bachelors of Administration and First Class Honours in Law from Fourah Bay College, Sierra Leone at 17 and 18 years respectively making her the youngest graduate in Africa.
She became a full fledged lawyer at the age of 20, making her the youngest lawyer in Africa, and the second youngest lawyer in the world (from all available records).
