Former minister of State for education and governorship candidate on the platform of the Social Democratic Party, Olorogun Barr Kenneth Gbagi, FNIM, has accused Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for copying one of his models while in the President Goodluck Jonathan’s government.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, (PDP), Atiku was quoted to have said he would hand over federal Universities to the state government.

Gbagi, an international scholar and a bookworm, revealed that he made a proposal to government that Federal Universities should be handed to state government to enable them function optimally.

The educationist, who created functioning 13 Universities, 14 Polytechnics, 16 Colleges of Education, eight federal girls’ schools and all the Amajiri schools, said if the Universities are given to the Vice Chancellors to the cleaners to own, the issue of strike would have been conquered in the nation.

The SDP governorship candidate who said Universities in the developed world particularly the United States of America (USA) are owned by the people disclosed that, he produced a white paper in the president Jonathan’s government to transfer all the Universities to the actual owners who are the Vice Chancellors and the cleaners.

Hear him: “When I was a minister, I proposed that the federal government should hand over all the Universities to the Vice Chancellors to the cleaners as owners.

“Nigerians were shouting at that time. My position was that if Universities were handed over to the Vice Chancellors to the cleaners and all of them are owners, there will never be strike in Nigeria, anymore.

“The Universities in America are owned by the people who work in the schools. So, there is a zeal for everybody to go and make sure that the school succeeds.

“So, I produced a white paper in the president Jonathan’s government to transfer all the Universities to the actual owners who are the Vice Chancellors and the cleaners in the Universities.

“My position remains the best solution to the problem. While Atiku is trying to copy my statement, he is copying it out of order.

“Moving the Universities to State will not solve the problem. As a Criminologist and a lawyer who have looked at the issue preliminary, my position which is been copied by Atiku does not fit into my original chip.

“I created 13 Universities in Nigeria, all the Amajiri schools in Nigeria, eight federal girls’ schools in Nigeria with 14 Polytechnics and 16 Colleges of Education which the corrupt government of APC is still trying to implement.

“I succeeded in implementing the 13 Universities and all the Amajiri schools. But Atiku must learn to copy properly and learn from the owner of the game”, he said.

It would be recall that the statement was credited to Atiku on ygist.com while speaking with PDP Chairman of Board of Trustees Walid Jibrin as they attend an emergency National Executive Committee party meeting in Abuja ahead of rescheduled general elections.
