Oshimili South Council Chairman Presents N6.3 Billion Budget Of Consolidation

The council chairman, Oshimili south local government area of Delta State, Obi Kelvin Ezeyenli, (PhD), has presented a budget of N6.3 billion to the legislative arm of the council.

The budget which was presented on Thursday March 23rd 2023, was tagged “Estimate of Consolidation”.

The budget has N3, 812,140, 043.05 as recurrent expenditure, with N2, 572,455,000.00 for capital expenditure, totaling a projection of N6, 384, 595, 043.05.

While noting that the budget was meant to consolidate on the gains of his administration, he insisted that his people would get more dividends of democracy

While appealing to them to give the bill a speedy attention as done to that of previous year, he said, the bill would impact positively on the people in terms of environment, security and social stability of the council areas.

He disclosed that his administration succeeds because of the mutual understanding both the legislative and executive have enjoyed.

Receiving the budget estimate on behalf of the other councilors, Hon Michael Okonji, the leader of Oshimili South Legislative Arm promised speedy passage of the budget to enhance immediate implementation of its laudable provisions.

He promised an in-depth analysis and speedy passage of the bill with more robust and result driven partnership with the executive.
