In the spirit of Christmas many have expressed love, care and service to humanity with gifts, clothing and cash gifts to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
The Special Assistant (SA) on Media to the Delta State Deputy Governor, Hon. Elohor Rita Agbra, has joined the league of Nigerians of goodwill.
In the spirit of the yuletide, she gave out bags of rice, food items and cash gifts between N10, 000 and N20, 000 to some aged women and youths randomly selected from her social media page in Ekpan, Uvwie local government area of the state.
In a brief interview, Hon. Elohor Rita Agbra, said: “It is more blessed to give than to take and reaching out to the needy not only during the festive season but at anytime is her forte and what she has sustained over the years”.
She noted that no matter how little she has, she has always had the burning desire to bless those around her.
“Giving is rewarding’. I have always reached out to the less privilege and other people around me within the limit of my resources over the years.
“Working under my boss the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, as an Aide has encouraged me to do more for the needy because seeing him reach out to people far and wide is something worthy of emulation” Elohor stated.
Elohor Agbra advised the youths as they celebrate the Christmas to shun social vices capable of breaching the peace in the state, but rather promote peace and put the state in a good light, as she wishes everyone in the state a merry Christmas and a Prosperous New year.
