A chieftain of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Henry Ofa, has congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on the auspicious occasion of his 62nd birthday anniversary, describing the governor as a leader of uncommon excellence.
In a statement to mark the Governor’s new age, Ofa said “Okowa has remained focused on the single objective of making Delta State truly prosperous since he assumed leadership of the state in 2015”.
He pointed out that his consistent efforts to improve the lots of Deltans was worthy of commendation.
The PDP Chieftain observed that in the last six years, Governor Okowa has kept faith with Deltans in diverse areas, ranging from “roads construction to education reforms.
“Repositioning of the health sector, job creation and youth engagement, empowerment of women and sustained peace across the state.”
He maintained that Governor Okowa’s job creation masterstroke has seen the empowerment of tens of thousands of young people in Delta State who are fast becoming employers of labour in their own right.
He noted that many programmes and policies of the current administration are specifically designed for the benefits of the masses.
Ofa disclosed that he has personally made painstaking efforts to document many of the laudable achievements of the Governor through his book series and musical video production on “The Lasting Legacies of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa”.
He said: “The Lasting Legacies of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is one of my pet projects which chronicles the activities of the current government. Thus far, I have published two editions of the book and the third edition is currently underway.
“I am also currently working on the fourth editions of my musical video which seeks to create appropriate awareness on how blessed Delta State is to have received an uncommon gift of leadership in Governor Okowa.
“As the Governor marks the anniversary of his birth today, it is my prayer that God will continue to strengthen and direct him in all his ways, and grant him a very long life of continuous service to humanity. Happy birthday, Your Excellency”.
