…declare support for Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi
A young Nigerian man identified as Omenuwoma Josiah, has rejected appointment as Special Assistant (SA) on Youth Mobilization to Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, of Delta State.
The appointment letter dated 22nd July 2022, was signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Chief Patrick Ukah.
According to the letter, “I am pleased to convey to you, your appointment as Special Assistant (Youth Mobilization) to the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa with effect from 22nd July 2022”.
The SSG, noted that the appointment of Josiah, was at the instance and pleasure of the governor.
But in a swift reaction, in a letter of decline dated 2nd August 2022 barely 11 days after the appointment, Josiah, said the letter came at a time he couldn’t accept.
“After careful thought and deliberation, I have decided to decline this opportunity. It’s unfortunate that the opportunity was presented at a time I couldn’t accept.
“This was a very difficult decision and I sincerely appreciate the appointment and I do regret that I am unable to render my services at the moment but in future, I will be more than happy to accept and work, I am sure that any other youth appointed as my replacement will do well”.
He however extended his gratitude to the governor for the rejected appointment.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that Mr Josiah, in a statement declared full support for the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi.
According to him, “I choose to be OBIDIENT and I have decided to remain actively OBIDIENT because I strongly believe that Nigeria will be better if Mr Peter Obi is President by 2023.”

“Big Bros you don too show me love wen I no fit forget. It’s unfortunate the came at this time that I have actively engaged and Committed myself to the OBIDIENT Movement.
“I am so sorry that I have to decline the appointment, I would have really love to serve, this was a very difficult decision.
“I wish to also appreciate all those that Supported me, those that criticized me (Constructively or destructively), those that were proud of me and those that we disappointed.”
“Going forward, let’s respect each other decision and choice as we work towards a better Nigeria, let’s put the general interest of Nigerians first because the overall welfare and security of Nigerians is more important.”
