An aggrieved member of the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State and former Executive Assistant on Communications to the immediate past governor of the state, Fred Latimore, boycotted the multiple inauguration of projects by the State governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on Thursday September 7th 2023, in Asaba, the State capital.
Though Latimore, didn’t give any reason for staying away from the event to the mark the 100 days of his friendship with Oborevwori spanning I to 45 years, it would not be unconnected to the refusal of the governor to promote him into a higher office of a Commissioner or Senior Special Adviser on Communications and Strategy.
Latimore has since left the State for Lagos State where he is presently holding the position of the Chairman of a board of a Lagos based aerospace logistics and flight training agency, PPK Aviation International.
But speaking on the 100 days of Oborevwori-led government, the former spokesperson of the Delta PDP Campaign Council said: “the governor is right on track. He constituted the state executive council, awarded some road contracts, completed and commissioned some important projects initiated by Okowa administration, he is working out robust palliatives for Deltans and shall certainly do more in the near future”.
