Dr. Michael Nwoko, Chief of Staff to Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko, has hailed the recent All Progressives Congress (APC) gathering in Delta North as a landmark political event, describing it as a historic and unparalleled demonstration of grassroots support for the party and its leadership.
Speaking shortly after the meeting, Dr. Nwoko expressed deep satisfaction with the overwhelming turnout, which he said far exceeded projections and underscored the growing strength of the APC in the region.
“What we witnessed was an extraordinary convergence of party faithful, supporters, stakeholders, and leaders of the APC in Delta North,” he said.
“In the political history of Delta North, this scale of attendance is unprecedented. I am both elated and overwhelmed by the love shown.”
Originally designed to accommodate 2,000 constituents, the meeting drew over 5,000 attendees, prompting a scramble for additional seating and leaving many participants standing outside the venue due to space constraints.
“This turnout is a strong statement from the people of Delta North,” Dr. Nwoko noted. “It affirms their confidence in the APC and in Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko, whose leadership continues to inspire unity and action.”
He clarified that the meeting was convened by the Delta North APC chairman in accordance with party structure and guidelines, with Senator Nwoko serving as host.
The event, he added, offered a clear reflection of the senator’s rising popularity and the electorate’s faith in his representation.
“What we saw was not just a political gathering, but a heartfelt display of love and solidarity towards Senator Nwoko by his people,” Dr. Nwoko stated.
“We must build on this momentum. The message is clear—Delta North stands firmly with the APC, and the APC is poised to take over Delta State.”
Capping his remarks, Dr. Nwoko confidently projected a victorious future for the senator: “The people have passed a resounding vote of confidence in Senator Ned Nwoko. It is evident that come 2027, his return to the Senate is assured.”
The event has since been widely regarded as a major political milestone, reinforcing the APC’s growing foothold in Delta State and spotlighting Senator Nwoko as a formidable force ahead of the 2027 elections.
