Unique Ladies For Sheriff Pass Confidence Vote On President Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori

The Unique Ladies for Sheriff, a prominent political and social support group, has passed a resounding vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, in recognition of their visionary leadership and commitment to good governance.

The motion for the confidence vote was moved by Hon. Princess Pat Ajudua and seconded by Hon. Mrs. Irene Imila during the group’s sensitization and strategic forum held at the Cenotaph, Asaba.

In her goodwill message, the Wife of the Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, represented by Mrs. Bridget Erijo, wife of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, commended the women for their steadfast support for both the President and the Governor.

“With the unalloyed support of the Unique Ladies for Sheriff, I am confident that come 2027, my husband will be re-elected as Governor of Delta State, and Mr. President will also return to office,” she said.

Deaconess Oborevwori applauded the unity and dedication of the group, stressing that only unity can bring together women from Delta’s diverse ethnic backgrounds.

She thanked the members for their consistent grassroots mobilization and pledged continued support for their activities in her capacity as First Lady.

Earlier in her welcome address, the National Coordinator of the group, Chief Nkem Okwuofu, expressed appreciation to Governor Oborevwori for his unwavering commitment to the ideals of the M.O.R.E Agenda—Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.

She noted that the forum, themed “Touching the Grassroots,” was designed to strengthen engagement and service delivery at the community level.

“As Unique Ladies for Sheriff, our mission is to carry the Governor’s message of hope to every corner of the state,” Okwuofu declared.

“We must communicate his vision clearly and ensure that women continue to play a vital role in driving development.”

She further acknowledged the Governor’s confidence in women, evident through the inclusion and empowerment of women in governance, and pledged that the group would continue to promote unity, mobilize support, and stand firmly behind the Governor and President Tinubu.

In his goodwill message, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor—represented by his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, commended the women for their unwavering support.

He expressed confidence in their capacity to mobilize votes for the Governor and President in 2027, noting that Governor Oborevwori has kept faith with his campaign promises.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Fidelis Tilije, lauded the women for their grassroots mobilization and described Governor Oborevwori as a prudent manager of both human and material resources who deserves the continued support of all Deltans.

In a vote of thanks, the Deputy Coordinator of the group, Mrs. Roselyn Amioku, reaffirmed the commitment of the Unique Ladies for Sheriff to remain steadfast in their support for the Governor and the advancement of Delta State.
