Delta State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Patrick Ukah, said individuals in the society should always live a life worthy of emulation.
He also noted that people should shun unnecessary life style that could elicit negative assessment from the public even when they are no more on earth.
Mr. Ukah gave the admonition in Okpanam, Oshimili north local government area, during the burial ceremony of the Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Coordinating Ogbeozoma Cell, late Mr. Azukaego Shanghai.
He described the deceased as a dedicated party faithful and leader, adding that late Mr. Shanghai had demonstrated effective leadership qualities when he was on the saddle as Ogbeozoma Cell PDP chairman, especially in his contributions towards several electoral victories of the party in the area.
Mr. Ukah, who prayed God to strengthen his family, especially his wife and children, urged them to take solace in the fact that the deceased left behind some endearing legacies worthy of emulation just as he enjoined them to put their trust in God at all times.
While calling on the children to sustain the good legacies of their father, the Basic and Secondary Education Commissioner stated that death was an inevitable end to humanity.
