Patrick Ukah, the Director General of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, has pledged to enforce strict sanitation measures across public spaces, residential areas, and both government and private organizations.

Ukah made this known during a closed-door meeting with members of the agency’s environmental sanitation department, emphasizing the need for a more structured and efficient approach to maintaining cleanliness.

He announced plans to establish six specialized units to carry out the sanitation exercise simultaneously, with each team equipped with a truck and loaders to ensure smooth operations.

Ukah also stressed the importance of public awareness, directing the media unit to continue airing the agency’s jingles and publishing news updates on sanitation efforts.

Additionally, he called on the Environmental Task Force to engage the necessary authorities for proper coordination.

The Director General further clarified that Oshimili South will be the primary focus of the exercise, urging collaboration with the local council and the Palace of the Asagba of Asaba to ensure its success.
