Ukah Mourns DBS Staff, Vivian Nkechika

The Director-General of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency (DSCTDA), Mr. Patrick Ukah, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Comrade Vivian Nkechika, a staff member of the Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS), Asaba, describing her passing as a painful loss to the media community in Delta State.

In a condolence message, Ukah said he received the news of Nkechika’s demise with shock and profound sadness, noting that her death has left a significant void, not only within DBS but also among colleagues and professionals who had the opportunity to work with her.

Speaking on behalf of the management and staff of the DSCTDA, the Director-General extended heartfelt condolences to the General Manager, management, and entire workforce of DBS, describing the loss as irreplaceable.

Ukah commended the late broadcaster for her professionalism, passion, and dedication to duty, recalling her exceptional skills and energy, particularly in the coverage and presentation of red-carpet events at programmes organised by the agency.

“Comrade Vivian Nkechika brought life, colour, and excellence to every assignment she handled. Her commitment, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for her work were consistently evident and highly admirable,” he said.

The DSCTDA boss also sympathised with the family, friends, and loved ones of the deceased, praying that God grants them the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He further prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and asked God to comfort the entire DBS family during this moment of grief.
