Ahead of the 2024 local government council election in Delta State, anything short of the youngest and most vibrant grassroot mobilizer, Comrade Oteri Homes, (aka) Ghanabar, not to be anointed as the next Chairman of the council, would cause the Council area, a great disaster and disservice.
Ghanabar, as he is fondly addressed by his teeming admirers, particularly youths and the elderly in Oginibo, his country home in Ughelli south local government area of the State, the entire Ughievwen kingdom, is an enigma in the life history of Ughievwen people.
He has his life-changing touch on the lives of youths across the local government area and for his contributions to the socio-political and economic awareness, for his love, which transcended his humanity, for his honesty, integrity and kindness to all, for his commitments to the cause of Ughelli South.
It is worthy of note that Ghanabar, particularly in the Chairmanship contest, has no competitor or rival as he has distinguished himself as a bold and dogged youth in the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) during the last general elections
Indigenes and residents of Ughelli South are advised to queue behind the philanthropist, whom many have described as the “best man”, for the job.
He is an accomplished businessman with track records of his businesses across the local government area. He has almost completed a five-star hotel with the name, Ghana-bar, ready for commissioning in July 2023,
located at Edjophen, a community in Ughelli south local government area to boost the tourist industry.
He is not joining the chairmanship race for what he will gain but to add his quota to the development of the council area.
Months ahead of the election, youth groups and women bodies have endorsed Ghanabar, who is the centre of attraction.
Youths in Ughelli south have described Oteri Homes, as an enigma, this simply means that they recognized him as an industrialist, philanthropist whose love for his people cut across the local government area.
Ughelli south would undergo a lot of changes under the council leadership of Ghanaba. When he start campaigns for the exalted post, he would not just promise to do the little but he would alleviate the suffering of the people of Ughelli South in 2024.
During the campaigns for the governorship, many took him to be unserious and that he was only wasting his hard earned money in order to meander through the unfamiliar terrain of politics little did they know that it was a step that will eventually change the historical value of Oginibo, when he pulled close to 500 votes in the community for PDP.
From the onset, he understands his aims and objectives to revolutionize the functions of the council, which will impact on the service delivery to the people of this noble LGA.
And if given the opportunity to serve Ughelli south, his administration, would be like a whirlwind of sorts that would bring prosperity, tremendous changes and unprecedented development to the council area.
