The Urhobo Editors and Publishers Alliance (UEPA) has announced that Chief (Dr.) Chris Obiuwevbi Ominimini, PhD, will serve as Chairman of its highly anticipated 2025 Official Inauguration and Annual Conference, an event already generating excitement across Delta State and beyond.
Chief Ominimini, a distinguished media advocate and stalwart of Urhobo Progress Union, is celebrated for his enduring commitment to communication, leadership, and community development.
From his early days as a passionate voice promoting the Urhobo cause, he has consistently deployed the power of the media to bridge the gap between leadership and the grassroots, earning widespread respect within and outside Urhobo land.
A former Commissioner on the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Ominimini’s tenure was defined by innovation, accessibility, and a people-oriented leadership style that emphasized empowerment and unity.
Chief Dr. Christopher Obiuwevbi Ominimni is also the National Publicity Secretary of the Pan Niger Delta Development Commission (PANDEF) and Special Adviser to the Senate President on Niger Delta matters.
His appointment as Chairman of the UEPA 2025 event is therefore both symbolic and strategic, bringing together intellect, culture, and leadership under one roof.
