The Election Committee and Stakeholders of Udu PDP Ward 3 meeting was held on Friday 28th April, 2023 at Grace Model School, Ovwian in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, where the new executive of the party at the ward was made known to everyone.
Addressing party faithful at the meeting, the leader of the ward, Chief Andrew Orugbo thanked members of the party for their peaceful disposition in the midst of lies and blackmails of anti- party paddling against him by some unknown persons from the ward.
Chief Orugbo further said that PDP ward 3 remains a united family under the leadership of the new party’s executive led by Comr. Godwin Sephoro and enjoined everyone to remain committed to ideals of the party.
While thanking other leaders of the party in the ward for the progress made in the just concluded elections of delivering PDP 5 over 5, Chief Andrew Orugbo revealed that 2 persons from the ward, Chief Andrew Orugbo and Chief Emmanuel Eyakagba made it into the list of the Transition Committee of Delta State Governor-Elect, Rt.Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
In the same vain, Chief Luke Djebah, Ukpiovwin PDP leader in the ward commended Chief Andrew Orugbo for his sterling leadership qualities of inclusiveness in the ward. He said that there was never a time issue of leadership had divided the party in the ward and urged members of the party to always respect constituted authority.
Also speaking, Comr. Samuel Gbalugo, Dcn. Godwin Okomitete, Rt. Hon. Karo Goru, Odien Nelson, Chief Peter Esiso, Comr. Blessing Okoro, Austin Aphiphen and others thanked Chief Andrew Orugbo for his leadership role of attracting dividends of democracy to the ward. They appeal to him to forgive some few elements working against the progress of the party in the ward so as to focus on the new assignment given to him in the transition committee.
Speaking earlier, Comr. Godwin Sephoro, Udu PDP Ward 3 Chairman thanked party faithful, particularly Chief Andrew Orugbo and other leaders for keeping the party together. The ward chairman promise to work assiduously with party leaders and party faithful to maintain PDP leading name in the ward.
The well attended meeting, had Election Committee members and Stakeholders from Ogbe-Udu, Ukpiovwin, Okolor-Waterside and Okolor – Inland, the 4 communities that make up the ward.
The highpoint of the meeting was the unveiling of the new PDP executive of Udu Ward 3, which includes; Comr. Godwin Sephoro – Chairman, Samuel Union – Vice Chairman, Emily Jitoku – Secretary, Josiah Golah – Assistant Secretary, Perfection Oyovwikerhi Galaka – Treasurer, Asifor Blessing- Publicity Secretary, Okoro Owumi – Financial Secretary, Comr. Gina Keletua – Auditor.
Others are; Elohor Tomame – Youth Leader, Oghenejirohwo Ebah – Woman Leader, Comr. Patrick Umukoro – Legal Adviser, Michael Forcados – Ex-Officio, Edirin Fuomare – Ex-Officio, Joshua Jitoku – Ex-Officio, Vick Matie – Ex-Officio and Vero Okima – Ex-Officio.
