The Urhobo Digital Editors Publishers Alliance (UDEPA) has lauded the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Youth Wing, Ighelle, for hosting a landmark cultural conference that successfully brought together notable Urhobo leaders in a demonstration of unity and cultural pride.

In a goodwill message to the leadership of Ighelle, UDEPA praised their foresight and resilience in organizing an event that not only showcased the richness of Urhobo heritage but also deepened bonds among critical stakeholders.

According to the alliance, the conference, recently held at Ovwiamugha in Ughelli North, served as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and cultural renewal.

The vibrant displays of Urhobo tradition at the gathering, UDEPA noted, reflected the enduring values and identity of the Urhobo people.

The group also commended Urhobo leaders who, despite their demanding schedules, honored the event with their presence, describing it as a testament to their unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of Urhobo Nation.

Extending its warmest regards to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, UDEPA applauded his consistent support for initiatives that promote cultural identity and communal solidarity.

The alliance equally recognized the distinguished presence of Urhobo royal fathers and clergy, describing them as spiritual and traditional pillars whose roles remain indispensable in shaping the future of the Urhobo Nation.

UDEPA further called on all Urhobo stakeholders to rally behind its vision of strengthening digital communication, documentation, and global projection of Urhobo values.

“Together, we can build a stronger and united Urhobo voice in the digital space,” the group affirmed.
