No fewer than two persons were killed following the explosion of a gas laden truck at Ohoro Community in Ughelli north local government area of Delta State.
It was learnt that the truck was carrying liquefied petroleum gas also known as cooking gas.
The explosion was caused by an accident involving two other trucks at the ever busy Ohoro Junction in Uwheru Kingdom.
It was gathered that belongings valued at millions of naira like vehicles and buildings were razed down by the explosion.
It learnt that the community was razed by the inferno with thousands of villagers rendered homeless.
Meanwhile, the State governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa today visited the scene of the gas tanker explosion.
He commiserated with the community over properties that was destroyed.
