Former Delta State Commissioner for Works, Dr. George Ugbomah, has lauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the successful completion of the Asaba storm drainage system, describing it as a landmark project that will safeguard the future of the state capital.
In a statement issued Wednesday in Asaba, Dr. Ugbomah said the governor’s intervention would not only mitigate perennial flooding across major roads but also protect critical infrastructure within the metropolis.

Dr. Ugbomah emphasized that the master drainage system provides a long-term solution to flooding in the capital city, calling on residents and stakeholders to acknowledge what he termed a remarkable milestone in Delta’s developmental journey.
