An influential leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta North, Chief Emmanuel Eboh, has cautioned former local government chairman, Hon. Louis Ndukwe, over his recent comments declaring that Senator Ned Nwoko would not return to the Senate in 2027.
Reacting to Ndukwe’s remarks, Chief Eboh described the statement as baseless, ill-conceived, and detached from reality, stressing that the former council boss had overstepped his bounds.
“Hon. Ndukwe has no powers to determine Senator Nwoko’s political future. He is an ordinary mortal and cannot play God,” Eboh asserted. “The political destiny of Senator Nwoko is not in his hands.”
The APC stalwart praised Senator Nwoko’s performance, saying his record in the National Assembly stands out as one of the most effective and people-centered in the country.
“Contrary to Ndukwe’s wild claims, Senator Nwoko has demonstrated exceptional commitment to the welfare of the people of Delta North,” Eboh said.
“His effective representation has earned him widespread admiration and satisfaction among his constituents.”
Eboh highlighted Senator Nwoko’s legislative achievements, noting that he is among the federal lawmakers with the highest number of bills and motions in the Senate.
“Senator Nwoko is the pride of Delta North. Beyond lawmaking, he has attracted infrastructural projects, roads, solar lighting, and water supply, to various communities.
“Over a thousand people have benefited from his skill acquisition programmes, particularly youths and women. Regular health outreach schemes also serve his constituents,” he stated.
According to Chief Eboh, the Senator’s youth empowerment initiatives have extended internationally.
“About a dozen youth leaders from across the nine local government areas of Delta North are currently heading to China for specialized vocational training, made possible by Senator Nwoko through his global connections. These are verifiable facts, not empty rhetoric.”
Speaking on the Senator’s leading role in the agitation for the creation of Anioma State, Eboh said Nwoko deserves commendation rather than baseless attacks.
“Senator Nwoko’s commitment to the Anioma cause is driven by sincerity and purpose. He has devoted his personal resources, time, and integrity to this noble pursuit,” Eboh noted.
“Those who began this struggle decades ago, men like Sir Dennis Osadebay, Senator Nosike Ikpo, and Obi Professor Chike Edozien, would be proud of his efforts to preserve Anioma’s identity and aspirations.”
Chief Eboh also berated Ndukwe for “recklessly dabbling into Senator Nwoko’s private family matters,” describing such conduct as “a sign of idleness and poor judgment.”
He urged the people of Delta North to continue supporting Senator Nwoko, whom he described as a true embodiment of Anioma’s collective hopes and aspirations.
“Senator Ned Nwoko remains a beacon of purposeful representation, focused, visionary, and dedicated to the service of his people,” Chief Eboh added.
