Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has described the launch of the second edition of the Compendium of 200 Most Outstanding Deltans as a historic initiative that celebrates excellence, inspires future generations, and affirms the state’s reservoir of talent and leadership.
In a goodwill message delivered at the public launch, Guwor, who also serves as National Treasurer of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, commended the organizers for recognizing the contributions of distinguished Deltans whose vision, resilience, and achievements continue to drive unity and development across the state.
Represented by his Chief Press Secretary, the Speaker noted that beyond honoring individual accomplishments, the compendium serves as a collective testament to Delta’s potential, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit.
“Today’s event is not only a celebration of personal achievements but also a powerful affirmation of Delta State’s rich reservoir of talent, vision, and leadership.
“By spotlighting these 200 exceptional Deltans, you have provided inspiration for current and future generations, demonstrating what can be achieved through hard work, resilience, and passion,” the Speaker stated.
While congratulating the honorees, Guwor urged all Deltans to draw lessons from the stories documented in the publication, stressing that they highlight the values of excellence, purpose, and commitment to the common good.
He further assured that the Delta State House of Assembly remains committed to supporting initiatives that preserve history, promote excellence, and uplift citizens across all spheres of life.
“The achievements highlighted in this compendium remind us that greatness is within reach when vision meets hard work and purpose. I have no doubt that this work will become a valuable resource for our state, inspiring generations yet to come,” Guwor added.
The Speaker also extended warm congratulations to the organizers and honorees, describing the project as a shining example of how celebrating excellence can foster progress and unity in Delta State.
