SMEDAN DG Reaffirms Commitment To Send Back Ogwashi-Uku Children To School

The Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (SMEDAN), Mr. Charles Odii, has once again reaffirmed his commitment to helping out-of-school children in Ogwashi-Uku return to school by January.

The DG made this pledge on boxing day, the 26th of December, 2024 at the Ogwashi-Uku civic center during a meeting with Ogwashi-Uku Development Association (ODA), the Parent body of all Ogwashi-Uku indigenes worldwide.

The DG who represented by Comrade Michael Odiah stated that the issue of out of school children in the community isn’t pleasant which is why he would be embarking on this task.

The DG also pledged a sum of one million naira towards the completion of the Ogwashi-Uku civic center.

The DG further urged citizens of keep hope alive in the Renewed hope mantra of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration adding that citizens should join hands together and support the government as the best is yet to come to Nigerians.

Responding was the President General of ODA Mr Osamor Patrick Izu who stated that the DG Charles Odii has done well in time past and his love for Ogwashi-Uku is appreciated.

The PG also appreciated the DG for soft loans awarded to many indigenes, He said ” Small and Medium Enterprise Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) with a son of Ogwashi-Uku as DG brought its soft loans to Ogwashi-Uku for the first time. So many persons were empowered by the federal financial agency.”

“We appreciate him and would continue to pray for him and because I know his father personally, I know bigger things would come.” He added.
