Senator Ned Nwoko has visited the family of the late Senator Peter Nwaoboshi to pay his heartfelt condolences, describing the departed lawmaker as a distinguished leader, courageous patriot, and true statesman whose contributions to public service left a lasting impact.
Speaking on behalf of the Anioma people, Senator Nwoko expressed profound sorrow over the loss, noting that Senator Nwaoboshi’s passing represents a great void not only for his immediate family but also for Delta State and the nation.
He described the late senator as a “true Dike”, a man of integrity, strength, and unwavering commitment to the development of his people.
Highlighting his illustrious political career, Senator Nwoko recalled Senator Nwaoboshi’s tireless dedication to justice, fairness, and progress, emphasizing that his legacy of selfless service remains a model for future generations.
Addressing the bereaved family, Senator Nwoko clarified that he was not involved in any challenges faced by the late senator prior to his passing.
He added that he had previously reached out to Senator Nwaoboshi in the spirit of dialogue and reconciliation, aiming to promote harmony and cooperation within Anioma land and the larger Delta North Senatorial District.
Senator Nwoko extended his deepest condolences to the family, friends, and associates of the late lawmaker, praying for strength, comfort, and fortitude to bear the painful loss.
He also prayed for the peaceful repose of Senator Nwaoboshi’s soul, asking that his good deeds and service to humanity continue to inspire.
