A frontline chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Engineer Emmanuel Eboh, has dismissed as baseless and laughable, rumours suggesting that Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, is planning to dump the APC.
Reacting to speculation sparked by a viral photograph showing Delta North APC politician, Chief Emma Ejiofor, reportedly visiting former Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, now a member of the African Democratic Party (ADC) Eboh clarified that the meeting, if true, had no link whatsoever to Senator Nwoko.
He explained that courtesy visits across party lines are common among politicians, but cautioned against mischievous attempts to twist such gestures into false narratives of defection.
According to him: “Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko is a loyal and committed member of the APC. He remains solidly behind His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our national leader, and is fully dedicated to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda and entrenching good governance in Delta State.
“It is laughable for anyone to insinuate that Ned is preparing to leave the APC. To where? He is a visionary who reshaped the political landscape of Delta State.
“As the first prominent leader from Delta North to join the APC, how can he abandon a house he helped to build? Senator Nwoko stands firmly in APC.”
Eboh further noted that Senator Nwoko is not perturbed by propaganda deliberately contrived by detractors.
Instead, he remains focused on his legislative responsibilities at the National Assembly, duties which, according to him, have earned the Senator admiration and respect across Delta North and beyond.
