Senator Ned Nwoko, committed to enhancing healthcare services for his constituents, has donated medical equipment worth millions of Naira to primary healthcare centers across the Delta North Senatorial District.
The donation ceremony, held in Idumuje-Ugboko, Aniocha North Local Government Area, fulfilled one of Senator Nwoko’s key electoral promises.
During the 2023 Delta North Senatorial campaigns, he had pledged to improve healthcare delivery, particularly for rural communities.
Staying true to his word, Senator Nwoko provided a wide array of medical equipment, including hospital beds, trolley stretchers, examination and delivery couches, nursery cots, test tube racks, syringes, stethoscopes, diagnostic sets, and sterilizers.
Other items included dissecting and dressing forceps, refrigerators, generators, cookers, solar lamps, fire extinguishers, benches, and chairs, ensuring comprehensive support for healthcare centers.
The facilities were distributed to primary healthcare centers in Aniocha North, Ika North East, Oshimili South, and Ndokwa West through the Executive Secretaries of their respective local government health authorities.
Dr. Chiemeka Samson, Ekakitie Nkemdili, Aruegbe Violet, and Ogwu Fidelis, officials from the local government health departments, received the donations on behalf of their communities.
Dr. Micheal Nwoko, representing Senator Ned Nwoko, handed over the items during the ceremony.
The executive secretaries expressed deep gratitude to Senator Nwoko, commending his generous and impactful intervention as timely and exemplary.
Six months earlier, Senator Nwoko had organized a medical outreach across Delta North communities, advocating for collaborative efforts among health authorities nationwide to improve rural access to healthcare services.
