Udu Local Government Area (LGA) Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in Delta State, Pastor Victor Agbula, has assured party members and supporters that the party was hopeful of victory at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Asaba, the State capital.
Pastor Agbula gave the assurance at the LGA executive meeting of the party held on Sunday August 20th 2023, in Udu local government area of the State.
He said that while the party was confident of victory at the Governorship tribunal, the party has the numerical strength to win elections.
The SDP stalwart recall that this was the first meeting held since after the last general Election.
The LGA Chairman maintained that the party would come out victorious at the tribunal.
He thanked the gubernatorial candidate of the party in the March 18th election, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi FNIM, OON for his leadership role in steering the wheels of the party.
He appreciated members of the State Caretaker Committee present at the meeting led by Hon Michael Dugbo, the Delta Central Senatorial District Vice Chairman of the party.
He eulogized the LGA Chairmen of Ughelli north and south LGAs, Chief Tega Nikoro and Pst Amos Osiki respectively.
Pastor Agbula encouraged the new Ward Chairmen and LGA executives to keep the party flag flying in their respective wards.
