The Executive Chairmen of Sapele and Ughelli north local government areas of Delta State, Hon. Eugene Inoaghan and Hon. Adode Godwin have sacked their aides.
Although, the reasons for their dismissals are still sketchy, it was gathered that Executive Assistant, Special Assistants and Secretary to the local government council were part of those sacked.
For Sapele Council area, the announcement was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Council, Hon Felix Ayemidejor on Wednesday 21st March, 2023.
According to the statement, the sack is with immediate effect.
Hon Adibor Igho, Executive Assistant to the Chairman on Legislative matters, Mr Frank Nujimen, Chief Strategis, Mr Ese Egigba – SA on Education and Miss Vivian Umukoro, SA, Girl Child were dismissed.
Others are Florence Mujakperuo SA on Women Mobilization, Mebugbandu A. Etan, SA on Youths Mobilization and Shine Omamogho, SA on Youths Mobilization.
“Accordingly, I am to request that you take necessary steps to hand over all government properties in your possession to the office of the Secretary to the Local Government forthwith”, the letter stated.
Similarly, Ughelli north local government chairman, Chief Adode, has equally sacked all his Assistants including the local government secretary.
It was speculated that Chief Adode, sacked his aides who failed to deliver their various units in the just concluded general election, including those who defected to the opposition political party in the State.
