The ancient Owa Kingdom will on Saturday, September 6, 2025, host a grand double celebration as the community dedicates the newly built Owa Hall of Fame and marks the 66th Coronation Anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Obi (Dr.) Emmanuel Efeizomor II, JP, OON, the Obi of Owa Kingdom.
The epoch-making ceremony, which will take place at the Owa Hall of Fame beside Ika North East Local Government headquarters in Owa-Oyibu, is expected to attract dignitaries, traditional rulers, clergymen, and illustrious sons and daughters of the kingdom.
According to the programme, the Chairman of the Occasion will be HRM Stanley Luke, Pere of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom and Vice Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council.
The Royal Father of the Day is HRM Major-General Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), CFR, MNI, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, who also serves as the Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council.
The spiritual blessings for the historic event will be led by the Spiritual Father of the Day, Ven. Ifeanyichukwu Ekpenisi, Bishop of Ika Diocese.
The celebration is also significant as it underscores the reign of Obi Efeizomor II, who has, for more than six decades, championed peace, cultural preservation, and socio-economic development in Owa Kingdom and beyond.
Guests and well-wishers are expected to gather from 11:00 a.m. at the Hall of Fame grounds for what promises to be a colorful and memorable occasion.
