As tributes pour in to mark the 66th birthday of the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, a member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. (Barr.) Bridget Anyafulu, has joined in celebrating the statesman, describing him as an exceptional leader whose life and service continue to inspire generations.
In a goodwill message on behalf of the people and residents of Oshimili South Constituency, Hon. Anyafulu, who also chairs the House Committee on Housing, Women’s Affairs, Humanitarian Support Services, and Girl Child Development, lauded Senator Okowa’s legacy of leadership, mentorship, and public service.
She described the former Governor as a man of integrity, discipline, and dedication, whose commitment to equity, the rule of law, and the advancement of women and girls has left an indelible mark on Delta State and beyond.
“Senator Okowa’s remarkable and exemplary service to our nation, state, and the Anioma people remains a source of strength and inspiration to many of us who learned and grew under his guidance,” she stated.
Hon. Anyafulu also used the opportunity to reflect on her personal journey, expressing deep gratitude to the former Governor for giving her the first opportunity to serve in public office.
“I will never forget that you gave me my first political appointment. You mentored and nurtured me into who I am today, and I remain eternally grateful for your trust and support,” she added.
As Senator Okowa marked the milestone on July 8, 2025, the lawmaker prayed for God’s continued blessings upon him, wishing him good health, wisdom, and many more years of impactful service to Delta State and Nigeria
