Delta state government has commended the outgone Commander of the Nigerian Army, 63 Brigade, Asaba, Brig. Gen.Abdulraman Idris, for his contributions in ensuring that peace and security was maintained during his stay in the state.
The commendation was given by the State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, during a send-forth dinner at the 63 Brigade Officers’ mess organized in honour of the Brigade Commander who has been redeployed to Defence Headquarters, Abuja.
Senator Okowa, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief Patrick Ukah, stated that his administration will continue to support the security agencies to enable them consolidate on the peace and security currently being enjoyed in the state.
He urged the security agencies to continue to work together so that through the synergy already formed, they can overcome security challenges as they arise.
Earlier in his remarks, Brig. Gen. Idris commended the state government for creating an enabling environment for the security agencies to operate.
He stated that the synergy between the state government and the security agencies had, to a large extent, paved way for the successes recorded in curbing insecurity in the state.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of a souvenir to the outgoing Commander by the representative of the Governor, Chief Patrick Ukah.
