The President General of Ogwashi uku Development Association ( ODA)Mr. Patrick Izu Osaamor has appealed to the people of Ogwashi uku and lovers of Ogwashi uku to aspire to complete the Ogwashi uku Civic Centre building come next year 2025.
Mr. Osammor made this known while delivering his welcome speech at this Year Annual Central Conference of the ODA held at Civic center last Thursday, 26 December 2024.
ln the well attended meeting, the PG said the anyone who really loves and care for Ogwashi uku kingdom, must be thinking how to complete the project which he described as Monumental kingdom Edifice.
He used the forum to commend the effort of Prominat Ogwashians and lovers of the town who have contributed immensely towards the building of the town hall and called for more donations in order to complete the building next year.
The President General also commended the Delta State Government for setting up the Panel of Enquiry to look into the Land and Traditional leadership Challenges and urged the people to remain calm and peaceful.
Also speaking during the meeting, the Secretary General, Mr Sunday Elue Adigwe read the Management Report for year 2024.
Among the issues discussed extensively during the meeting include Ogwashi Dam project and the issue of lack of Adequate Educational infrastructures in Primary and Secondary Schools in Ogwashi uku and it’s Outside villages.
The Conference in session also Received Report of Peace and Reconciliation Committee Report set up by the ODA National Executive Council to Interface between the ODA and the Palace.
This year Annual General Conference was attended by Representative from various branches including Abuja, Port Harcourt, Lagos, Asaba, Benin City, Kaduna and other major towns in the Country where Ogwashians Reside.
Also in attendance were Past President Generals, Representative’s of the Ogbes as well as very Important Ogwashi-Uku personalities.
