Commissioner for Information, Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, has assured Deltans that the Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori-led administration, is people friendly.
Dr. Osuoza stated this on Thursday February 29th 2024, while interacting with journalists during the February Congress of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council held at the Press Center in Asaba, the State capital.
Hear him: “this government is people friendly, the governor is passionate about Delta State. He is passionately talking about relieving our people of some of these hardship that they are going through”, he said.
On the welfare of members of the fourth estate of the realm, he assured that he would add value to the practice of journalism in the State.
“In totality, I will take the welfare of members of the press seriously”, appealing that journalists across the State should cooperation with the government for the MORE agenda to thrive.
“Any issue that you need clarification on, you can call or access me through the office. Be professional in your reportage as I always say.
“For those that are from Delta, the State belongs to all of us and those that lives in the Delta, the State belongs to all of us. There is no discrimination, please let us do things that will ensure Delta progresses.
“Unlike reporting things that are negative but when you see things that are positive, report them and let be patient to get the other side of the story.
“There is nothing as bad as when you take the story from one angle and you didn’t hear from the other side, that means you have lost the balancing aspect of the profession”, he said.
