Oborevwori Yet To Redeem N10 Million Pledge To PFN, CPFN

About two weeks after the governorship candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Sheriff Oborevwori, vowed the sum of N10 million as pledge to the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (CPFN), Delta State chapters, Oborevwori, is yet to redeem his pledge to the Christian bodies in the State.

It was gathered that the leadership of the apex decision making body of the two groups are presently unhappy with the PDP candidate, whose pledge they described as “voicemail” and “audio pledge”.

A source revealed that Oborevwori, has not made contact with the leadership of the two bodies, how much more redeeming the pledge.

Oborevwori, who is the Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), was accused of not keeping his promise to the body of Christ, as he promised to redeem the pledge on Monday December 19th 2022, two days after his visit to PFN/CPFN Secretariat.

It would be recall that Oborevwori appeared before PFN and CPFN Secretariat at Orhokpokpor along Agbarho/Ughelli expressway on Saturday 17th December 2022.

Oborevwori, who did not address the gathering, made a pledge of N10 million to the group which has not been redeemed till date.

According to an insider source, when he (Oborevwori), was invited to come over to the alter for prayers, Oborevwori, bluntly declined, raising eyebrow among members of the two groups.

No doubt, among the three gubernatorial candidates vying to govern the state, the incoming Governor of Delta State come 2023, under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), His Excellency, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON, stands tall.

Gbagi, a renowned Criminologist, philanthropist and humanitarian has proven to be the only one with the fear of God, integrity and character with the technical know how to rule the state come 2023.

Haven redeemed his own donation of N12 million before leaving the two groups on 13th December 2022, when Gbagi FNIM,  the biggest employer of labour in the state, a Catholic devotee and a disciplinarian honoured their (PFN/CPFN) invitation, christians across the state should know who truly respects them and should be trusted and entrusted with the affairs of the State.
