Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has approved June 11, 2024, to inaugurate the Emevor-Orogun road project completed under his administration.
The State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, on Monday 10th June 2024, in a release said the commissioning was part of activities to mark the one year anniversary of the governor.
Dr. Osuoza, described Governor Oborevwori, as a focused and a determined Pan-Deltan who is poised in spreading meaningful development anchored in the MORE Agenda to all Deltans.
According to him, “the focus and determination of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State, to fulfill the Meaningful Development component of the MORE Agenda, especially in the delivery of life impacting infrastructural projects, as he unequivocally declared on inauguration day that: “I am determined to ensure that we embark on developmental initiatives and projects that have significance and purpose,” is incontestable.
“This has been amply demonstrated in Governor Oborevwori’s unwavering commitment to embrace, complete, and deliver major outstanding projects inherited from his predecessor to the benefit of Deltans.
“This admirable leadership thrust has not only established the truism that government is a continuum, it has equally defined him as a shinning star and model of how to manage succession politics in a democracy like ours and firmly established him as a leader and administrator who will not be distracted by political innuendos and shenanigans, in his quest to ensure that only the best will be delivered to Deltans.
“The latest in the robust and impressive array of these projects which Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has pledged to complete and deliver in his desire to ensure Meaningful Development across Delta State, under the excellent MORE Agenda, is the 4.4 km, Phase 1 stretch of the Emevor-Orogun Road, in Isoko North LGA of Delta State, which holds immense importance for the communities it serves, as the road is expected to provide easier access to essential services, promote commerce and trade, enhance connectivity between the community and its neighbours and ensure the overall mobility of residents and commuters in the area.
“Governor Sheriff Oborevwori had already declared during his inspection of the road, that his administration’s commitment to effective project management and infrastructure development in the fulfillment of prioritizing the provision of infrastructural development across the three Senatorial zones in the State without bias, for the greater good of all Deltans, is irrevocable.
“The phase 1 of the Emevor-Orogun Road, which was constructed and delivered by an indigenous contractor, thus also underscoring the Opportunities for All Component of the MORE Agenda, will be Commissioned on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 1pm, to the Glory of God and the benefit of Deltans and all who will use the road” adding that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is working, and Deltans are seeing it.
