Oborevwori Mourns Passing Of Reps Speaker’s Deputy Chief Of Staff, Dr. Dunkwu

Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed profound sorrow over the death of Dr. Chamberlain Nnamdi Dunkwu, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, who reportedly passed away in the early hours of Saturday.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor extended his condolences to the family of the late Dr. Dunkwu, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, and the people of Ute-Okpu in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, the hometown of the deceased.

Governor Oborevwori described Dr. Dunkwu as a dedicated public servant whose commitment to national development and legislative administration earned him respect across political and professional circles.

According to the governor, the late Dunkwu displayed remarkable diligence, loyalty, and a strong sense of responsibility in the discharge of his duties as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

“On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I extend my sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, and the people of Ute-Okpu as well as the entire Ika nation on the untimely passing of Dr. Chamberlain Dunkwu,” the governor stated.

He noted that the sudden demise of Dr. Dunkwu represents a painful loss not only to his immediate family but also to the broader political and governance community that benefited from his wealth of experience, intellect, and humility.

Governor Oborevwori prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased and asked God to grant his family and loved ones the strength to bear the loss.
