Executive Governor of Delta State and leader of the State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, JP, will on Wednesday July 10, lead party elders, leaders, stakeholders, party faithfuls and supporters to a super mega rally at the Cenotaph Complex, in Asaba, the state capital.
Executive Assistant on Communications to the governor, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe on Tuesday said governor Oborevwori will be accompanied by the immediate past governor of the state, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, former governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor, State party Chairman, Barrister Kingsley Esiso, Secretary to Delta State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu and other top government functionaries.
The mega rally, according to the EA Communications, is meant to bring together all state party structures across the 25 local government areas in solid preparation for the July 13 local government council elections in the state.
He stated that this year’s mega rally is the first, wherein governor Oborevwori will be presiding as the leader of the PDP in the state since assumption office, and it promises to be a memorable event.
Oghenesivbe urged all Chairmanship and Councillorship candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, party faithfuls and supporters from the three senatorial districts to arrive the venue of the mega rally, Cenotaph Complex along High Court Road, Asaba on or before 9:30am Wednesday.
“His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, JP, will on Wednesday July 10 attend the mega rally of the PDP at the CENOTAPH COMPLEX , off Okpanam Road, Asaba, Delta State.
“This is the first mega rally of the party wherein the governor will be presiding as the leader of PDP in the state since assumption office, and it promises to be a memorable event.
“Party failfuls and supporters are expected to showcase the Green, Red and White PDP colours in their dress code. We are ready for the mega rally and Asaba shall Agog .
“The rally is expected to begin at 10am prompt. All invited guests, party elders, leaders, elected representatives across board, top government functionaries, party faithfuls and supporters are expected to be seated on or before 930am,” Oghenesivbe said.
