Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, which signifies the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, the Governor commended Muslims for their devotion, sacrifice, and commitment to the spiritual ideals of Islam as demonstrated throughout the fasting period.

Oborevwori described Ramadan as a time of deep reflection, discipline, compassion, and renewed faith, urging adherents to sustain these virtues beyond the holy month in the interest of societal harmony and development.

He stressed the need for peaceful coexistence, unity, and tolerance among Nigerians, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences, noting that these values remain essential for national stability.

The Governor also called on citizens to use the festive period to pray for enduring peace, unity, and progress in the country, emphasizing that collective responsibility and mutual understanding are critical to addressing prevailing socio-economic challenges.

While wishing Muslims a joyful and peaceful celebration, Oborevwori reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, infrastructure development, and the welfare of all residents, in line with his M.O.R.E Agenda.

He further urged Deltans to celebrate responsibly and continue supporting government initiatives aimed at building a more secure, united, and prosperous state.
