Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in Delta State and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-ul-Mawlid, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori urged the Muslim faithful to use the celebration as a period of reflection on the Prophet’s exemplary virtues of peace, love, tolerance, humility, and selfless service to humanity.

The governor noted that as Nigeria continues to pursue unity and social cohesion, it is crucial for citizens of all faiths to embrace these values for the progress and stability of the nation.

He commended the Muslim community in Delta State for their unwavering contributions to peace, growth, and harmony, assuring that his administration remains committed to policies that promote inclusiveness, mutual respect, and religious tolerance.

“As we mark Eid-ul-Mawlid, let us remember that our true strength as a people lies in our diversity and our shared commitment to building a peaceful and prosperous Delta and Nigeria,” Governor Oborevwori stated.

He wished Muslims a joyful, peaceful, and hitch-free celebration
