Oborevwori Felicitates Delta Speaker Guwor On Election As Chairman, Conference Of Speakers

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, on his emergence as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria.

Guwor was elected at the General Meeting of the Conference held on Monday in Abuja, an outcome that further elevates Delta State’s standing in national legislative affairs and underscores its growing influence in inter-parliamentary collaboration across the country.

In a congratulatory message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori described Guwor’s election as well-earned, attributing it to his wealth of legislative experience, proven leadership capacity, and steadfast commitment to democratic values and good governance.

The governor, who previously served as Treasurer and later Deputy Chairman of the Conference during his tenure as Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, noted that the Conference of Speakers plays a pivotal role in Nigeria’s democratic framework, particularly in fostering cooperation among state legislatures and strengthening institutional governance.
