The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, has extended warm felicitations to the Honourable Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, as he marks his birthday.

In a goodwill message signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, and Acting Secretary, Josephine Omodior, the Union lauded Aniagwu’s inspiring journey from journalism into governance, describing him as a voice of clarity and a bridge between government and the people.

The NUJ recalled Aniagwu’s early career days as a seasoned broadcaster at DBN and AIT, where he distinguished himself both on the field and in the studio.

His transition into public service saw him serve meritoriously as Chief Press Secretary and later Commissioner for Information under former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

The Council noted that Aniagwu has continued to excel under the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, where he now serves as Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information.

“For more than two decades, Mr. Aniagwu has carved a niche for himself as a dependable communicator and a man of excellence in service.

“The NUJ Delta State Council is proud to associate with his values, achievements, and enduring contributions to development communication,” the statement read.

While congratulating the Commissioner on his birthday, the NUJ prayed for renewed strength, wisdom, and grace for him to sustain his noble service to Delta State and humanity.
