The Niger Delta Women for Change, has denied allegations of biased contract awards against the Executive Vice President of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd, NNPCL, Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, saying the allegations were not only baseless but lack substantial evidence.

Addressing newsmen in Warri, Delta State, weekend, President of the group, Esiri Ikomoni flanked by executives and members of the group, said the allegation against Eyesan were attempts to undermine her significant contributions to nation building, fuelled by tribalistic blackmail which threatens the principle of fairess and meritocracy that she stands for.

Ikomoni said: “As the Executive Vice President, Mrs. Eyesan continues to lead with integrity, resilience and an unwavering commitment to the betterment of NNPCL and the nation at large.

“She serves perfectly as the Executive Vice President of NNPCL, bringing a wealth of experience, visionary leadership, and a steadfast commitment to fostering excellence within the organisation.

“The ongoing attempts to besmirch her reputation only serve to underscore the importance of supporting leaders who prioritize competence over divisive narratives.

“As the Executive Vice President, Mrs. Eyesan continues to lead with integrity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to the betterment of NNPCL and the nation at large.”

She stressed that the attacks were sponsored and reeked of bitterness for reasons unknown, urging the public to not be blinded by such unfounded insinuations.
